The objective of the New South Wales (NSW) EIPP is for the New South Wales Police Force (‘the NSW Police Force’) to provide early intervention and diversion programs for young people under the age of 18 years at risk of developing alcohol-related problems and facilitating therapeutic responses to address alcohol use. The NSW Police Force will use the existing NSW ‘Your Choice’ model as a base, to establish a stable and systematic process in the NSW Police Force, consistent with the principles of the National EIPP Framework.
