The Schedules will support the delivery of various projects under the Commonwealth Outcomes Fund.
The NSW project Get Back in the Game (GBIG) supports disengaged young people aged 15 to 21 to engage with employment, education and training through a structured wrap around care management service. GBIG is available for two cohorts of young people under two different pathways:
- Back in the Game (school pathway) supports young people aged 15 to 19 at school in need of support to remain engaged in school or transition to employment or training.
- Get in the Game (community pathway) supports young people aged 15 to 21 disengaged from all employment, education and training.
The Victorian project Delivering Self-determined Aboriginal Employment Initiatives develops the capacity of Aboriginal communities across Victoria to increase employment opportunities and outcomes. The project is underpinned by a principle of self-determination for First Nations people in Victoria. The project aims to:
- establish locally relevant culturally safe Aboriginal employment initiatives in up to 8 locations around Victoria, linked with the Traditional Owner Economic Hubs.
- establish a trained and experienced workforce to support the local employment initiatives.
- achieve economic, cultural and social employment outcomes for Aboriginal Victorians.
South Australia has agreed to deliver two projects under the Outcomes Fund; the Young Parent Program and the Workplace program.
- The Young Parent Program delivers an in-person coaching program aimed at increasing parenting capacity, improve children's development, improve family functioning and parental wellbeing.
- Workplace program will be the first dedicated post-release accommodation service in South Australia, addressing the key risk factors that can lead to reoffending such as homelessness and unemployment, by providing dedicated accommodation and wrap around support.
