Implementation of Consumer Data Right IT Infrastructure for Energy Product Reference Data

This Schedule will support the delivery of funding to the Victorian Government to develop and build new IT infrastructure to make energy Product Reference Data (PRD) available as part of the roll out of the Consumer Data Right (CDR) to the energy sector in Australia.

The CDR will give consumers the right to safely access certain data about them held by businesses. They will also be able to direct that this information be transferred to accredited, trusted third parties of their choice. The right will allow the consumer to access data about themselves in a readily usable form and a convenient and timely manner. It will also allow consumers better access to information on the products available to them.
